Welcome to Dublin! We could write an essay about all Dublin has to offer, but these two videos below sum it up nicely.

A place to meet, a place to do business, a place to enjoy – visit Ireland!

Dublin is one of the most popular short break destinations in Europe. Consistently featured in all top ten most visited cities rankings, Dublin is renowned for being one of the friendliest capitals in Europe, while maintaining a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Dublin is an old city, steeped in history. The Vikings were the first settlers in Dublin and the city began its life as two separate settlements, “Atha Cliath” and “Dubh Linn”. The modern name of the city is derived from these two names. “Dublin” is the internationally recognised name of the city and “Baile Atha Cliath” is the Irish translation.

Dublin City has a 2,000-year-old history. From medieval cathedrals and ancient city walls to Georgian squares and Victorian grandeur, the streets are alive with history, heritage and tales of bygone years.

Home to Joyce, Shaw, Beckett, Wilde, Dublin has played an important role in Ireland’s literary history.
